What to Expect
Activities
Enjoy a full day of storytime performances, live entertainment, interactive crafts, author meet-and-greets, and other family-friendly activities inspired by classic and contemporary tales.

Literacy for Kids, including a special visit from acclaimed author and artist Katie Yamasaki

St. Clair Shores Public Library and Grosse Pointe Public Library
🎶 Don’t miss a live musical performance by beloved children’s entertainer Jim Gill at 11:45 a.m.!
📖 Plus, the wonderful Miss Emily will be there to read aloud and lead an interactive activity that little ones are sure to love.

Be Prepared
All activities take place outdoors. Please wear comfortable shoes and plan for gravel paths and grassy areas.
Bring sunscreen, hats, or rain gear—Story Festival at Ford House happens rain or shine!
Restrooms are located in the Visitor Center.
Children must stay with their parent or guardian throughout the event.
No dogs are permitted on the property during this event.
WEATHER
While we hope for beautiful weather, this event will be moved inside in inclement weather. This decision will be made the day before and communicated to all ticket holders.
