Grounds Admission

Experience the natural beauty, history, and peaceful charm of the Ford House estate with a Grounds Admission ticket.

Grounds Admission at Ford House includes full access to the estate’s scenic grounds, gardens, and select outbuildings — including Josephine’s Playhouse, the Recreation Building, and other historic spaces that offer glimpses into the everyday lives of the Ford family. Guests are free to explore 87 acres of tree-lined pathways, shoreline trails, meadows, and ornamental gardens from morning until sunset.

As you wander the estate, you’ll enjoy sweeping lakefront views, wooded paths perfect for reflection, and beautifully landscaped gardens that change with the seasons. Ford House’s Grounds Admission invites you to slow down and reconnect with nature in one of Metro Detroit’s most picturesque settings.

Please note: Grounds Admission does not include access to the Main Residence. To explore the historic home of Eleanor and Edsel Ford, we recommend purchasing a House + Grounds Admission ticket.

Whether you’re seeking a peaceful solo walk, a memorable family outing, or an inspiring place to take photos, Grounds Admission at Ford House offers a relaxing, self-guided experience that’s different every time you visit.
