School Tours

School tours are a perfect way to introduce students to the history of Ford House while also inspiring them to think about the future.

Bring your students to Ford House for a tour specifically designed to meet grade-level content standards. Explore the meticulous designs and architecture throughout the estate, learn about the staff who worked here, or focus on the 87 acres of habitat that many animals call home. Whether your class is studying history, art, or science, Ford House programs are designed to foster critical thinking and ignite curiosity and discussion.

Grades PreK-12

$7 per student and adult chaperone | Free for teachers

Duration: 60 to 90 minutes

Join us for a 60-90 minute guided tour experience for preK-12 students. Bring your classroom to Ford House for a grade-appropriate art, science or history experience developed around state content standards. Our school tours provide students the opportunity to engage in critical thinking, discussion, and exploration in a learner-centered environment. Learning will be reinforced with a hands-on project or activity. 

Camps & Homeschools

$7 per student and adult chaperone | Free for teachers

Duration: 90 minutes

Join us for a 90 minute guided experience for your camp students or homeschool group. We will provide your students with an age-appropriate experience centered around art, science or history. Our camp and homeschool tours are developed around state content standards. Students will engage in critical thinking, discussion, and exploration in a learner-centered environment. Learning will be reinforced with a hands-on project or activity. 

Scouts

$7 per scout and adult | Free for troop leaders

Let us help your scouts earn a badge while exploring themes like art and design, life science or history at Ford House. Your scouts will have an engaging tour experience complete with a hands-on activity or project.

College

$10 per student | Free for faculty

Explore historical and contemporary issues. Facilitated conversations and experiential learning opportunities await.
